We have developed a range of resources to help you implement Sound Origins in your practice.

Sound Origins works best when both parents and practitioners are supported and engaged. We offer training that is designed to support health care practitioners to embed Sound Origins into their existing practices and services. Our training helps practitioners to develop their skills in supporting the safe use of sound and song for wellbeing.

Sound Origins is all about supporting parents and professionals so that they can provide the best care for babies and experience the most positive neonatal experience that they can.

By the end of the course you will:

  • Notice how your own connections to sound and song support your wellbeing
  • Recognise the impact of uncertainty and neonatal admission
  • Understand how Sound Origins can support parents to navigate uncertainty and the range of emotions they may experience.
  • Be able to interact with parents about the strengths they find in their own sounds and songs
  • Safely support parents to think about sharing sounds with their baby
